artists in the barn

artists in the barn is an artist-in-residence program that gives artists an opportunity to stay and work in Italy for arts sake.

the barn provides an environment conducive to creativity. Drawing inspiration from the beauty and peace of Tuscany, the artist creates his own utopia in seclusion.

Located in 20 acres of woodland and an olive grove of 200 trees, the barn looks down on the Renaissance town of Sansepolcro. An inspiration to artists for centuries, this small town is the birthplace of Piero della Francesca, one of the most emblematic figures of the Italian Renaissance. Situated in southeast Tuscany, bordering Umbria and the Marches, the barn's location offers the artist a unique opportunity to discover a relatively unexplored part of Italy.

artists in the barn invite artists from various media including literature, painting, sculpture, photography and screen writing.
